e-HLbc announces its inaugural boutique license; April Haddad is announced as the new Management Committee post-secondary sector representative; Grace Markarewicz begins her term as Co-Chair; and more.
e-HLbc Offers Boutique License to e-CPS and e-Therapeutics+
In Summer 2009 e-HLbc began negotiating a boutique license with the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) to their products e-CPS and e-Therapeutics+ for member libraries in B.C. Providing uniquely Canadian information on pharmaceuticals, both e-CPS and e-Therapeutics+ ranked at the top of the New Product Selection Survey and were recommended for licensing by the e-HLbc Negotiation Advisory Team and Management Committee. The online edition of the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties, e-CPS contains information on proprietary and non-proprietary Canadian drugs intended for human use. e-Therapeutics+ is a comprehensive drug information resource that includes e-CPS, Therapeutic Choices (the condensed online version of CPhA’s text on treatment options for conditions and diseases), Lexi-Comp’s drug interaction analyzer Lexi-Interact, printable selfcare information for patients, and links to Health Canada advisories, warnings and recalls. This year's license was launched May 1 and runs through March 31, but it's not too late to join and receive access. e-HLbc has negotiated pro-rated pricing for e-CPS and e-Therapeutics+ for late subscribers. If you're interested in learning more about either products, pricing, or the terms and conditions of the license, please contact the e-HLbc Administrative Centre.
